Wesley Heights

Washington, D.C.

As areas are rediscovered and people desire to live closer to the urban core, these houses are found and lovingly made into a home. This project was one of those house-to-home discoveries. A typical Southern 'five four and a door' built in the 50’s, the structure sat on a large tree-covered lot in Georgetown, one of the finest enclaves of the Nation's Capitol. The transformation was astounding. The square footage was doubled, finishes contemporized, and that large tree-covered lot was made part of the living area as glass walls opened onto alfresco dining areas, fire pits and stone-lined grottos. Only an award-winning builder with an uncanny sensitivity to the desired lifestyle of a sophisticated family could have successfully created this remarkable property. Mission Accomplished.
